Registration Information

1) Register with First Lego League (FLL) by going to the website: www.firstlegoleague.org

– Go to ‘North America’ and then navigate to ‘Join Us’ (or click here)

– It is $200 per team for FLL registration.  You can order your challenge kit (a.k.a. field setup kit) ($65) at this time (one per school is typical).  You can also order the Mindstorms NXT kit ($325+) (new! Rookie teams should get NXT) or the Mindstorms RCX kit ($250+) and extra sensors if needed during registration.

2) Register your team with ColoradoFIRST and select your first and second choices for Qualifier Events.

        You’ll need:

  • FLL Team Number (returned when you’ve completed step 1)

  • Main contact name and email(s)

  • Organization (school, troop, etc.)

  • Event Volunteer contact info

  • Include any other emails of leaders who need to receive up-to-date information.

  • You may want to wait for a reply confirming your place in the Qualifying Tournament before going on to step 3.

3) Make a deposit to the tournament of $50.00 per team.  This deposit will hold a spot for each team for the Qualifier Tournament you choose and will be credited to your balance.  If not received by October 21st, reservation will be canceled.

Checks are to be made payable to ‘CREST FLL.’
Include

  • Team contact information and

  • FLL Team Number on check.

Send payment to:

CREST FLL
PO Box 102515
Denver, Colorado  80250

4) Purchase needed materials.  It is suggested that you go to www.firstlegoleague.org and order from there during your registration process (step 1).  You can find lower prices elsewhere, but it usually levels out when you consider the extra parts provided in the genuine FLL kit.

5) Budget the costs and decide how you will raise the money to support your team(s) for the upcoming season and tournament.

6) Send registration payment by October 21stto hold your spot(s) for the PLL tournament to the address given above.
