“Trash,” though, is too gentle of a word to describe the rough treatment, hyperbolic vilification, linguistic disembowelment, vitriol, hatred and taboo they heap upon those who practice heresy from their orthodoxy.<\/p>\n
Heresy is severely punished.\u00a0 Muslims punish apostasy with a death fatwa, and the Left take a similarly dim view toward their heretics.\u00a0 Despite what the Left say about bipartisanship and compromise when backed into a corner, they really aren’t into anything that might open the door to negative an element of their orthodoxy.<\/p>\n
But, I don’t think the Left really believe in their orthodoxy to the extent they want people to think they do.\u00a0 Otherwise, why would they be so damn defensive and insecure about it<\/em>?<\/p>\n Think about it – people who know something is true don’t run around constantly trying to stamp out any dissent from the truth.\u00a0 When you know something is true, and you know you’ve done your homework, and you’ve based your reasoning on sound facts, and the facts come from good scientific practices, you’re not insecure about that truth.\u00a0 You’re confident.\u00a0 You trust your conclusion.<\/p>\n The Left don’t show any trust in their conclusions.\u00a0 They never stop politicking, never stop selling it, and never stop attacking their heretics.\u00a0 And, as you can see if you’ve visited their sites, their attacks don’t come in the form of scholarly disagreements – what you might expect from a group of school teachers.\u00a0 Far from it.\u00a0 Go to their sites.\u00a0 See for yourself.<\/p>\n So, after ruling out truth from the Leftist bag of tricks, what remains?<\/p>\n Power<\/em>, perhaps the oldest of motivations, makes the Left comprehendible.<\/p>\n You don’t need to chase their red herrings around the room.\u00a0 You don’t need to take their insults personally.\u00a0 And you don’t need to make sense of their junk science.<\/p>\n You just need to understand that they’re in it to win it, not because they’re right or justified, but because they must have power.\u00a0 With power, they can look past the emptiness of their orthodoxy, and get down to the business of executing their power.<\/p>\n Ironically, while non-Left Americans content themselves with the security of constitutional freedom, the Left have a tougher row to hoe.\u00a0 They must earn their freedom from endless lip service to a basket of unsustainable mantras by gaining power.<\/p>\n It’s not easy for them.\u00a0 And I’m tempted to feel sorry for some of them.\u00a0 That is until I see the mess of things they make when they get what they want.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Bishops, Mr. Blotter, Mr. Brown, Mr. Corrado, the Duvalls, Mr. McShay, Mr. Phillips, Mr. Thomas, Mr. Thomasson, and friends, share an orthodoxy.
