{"id":3041,"date":"2012-07-14T09:35:30","date_gmt":"2012-07-14T16:35:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elbertcounty.net\/blog\/2012\/07\/14\/fallacies-of-socialism\/"},"modified":"2012-07-15T12:38:16","modified_gmt":"2012-07-15T19:38:16","slug":"fallacies-of-socialism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elbertcounty.net\/blog\/2012\/07\/fallacies-of-socialism\/","title":{"rendered":"the poverty of socialism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To those who complain about the free market\u2019s inability to overcome the systemic <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atimes.com\/atimes\/Global_Economy\/JH01Dj02.html\">failures of socialism<\/a>, the free market works very well without socialism.\u00a0 Discovering and producing a profitable market transaction is enough of a challenge without also handicapping businesses by forcing them to carry the <a href=\"http:\/\/atwatermerced912ers.com\/articles\/articles-2\/the-cost-of-socialism\/\">dead weight of socialism<\/a> on their backs.<\/p>\n<p>Imagine how much extra we pay for goods and services in America from the <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.townhall.com\/columnists\/johnransom\/2012\/07\/05\/the_last_socialist_in_america\/page\/full\/\">unnecessary overhead costs<\/a> of bureaucratic compliance, arbitrary process regulation, arbitrary labor regulation, arbitrary environmental regulation, arbitrary esthetic regulation, arbitrary design regulation, anticipatory legal maneuvering to ward off predatory lawsuits over regulatory compliance, and the elimination of market alternatives through the exclusion of\u00a0 marginal participants unable to compete when loaded up with all the socialist transaction costs of participating in a socialist-controlled market.<\/p>\n<p>No one sees the opportunity costs of socialism \u2013 all the wealth and transaction activity that gets systemically preempted by it.\u00a0\u00a0 Socialism gets a free pass in this leftist dominated time.\u00a0 It is judged solely by its intentions, never by the inadequate beneficial outcomes it actually leads to, and absolutely never by the injustice of it.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/jb-williams.com\/5-30-05.htm\">socialist myth<\/a> attempts to make people what nature did not: of equal capacity.\u00a0 Since people do not have equal capacities, the socialist system attempting to impose equal outcomes on everyone is fundamentally unnatural, essentially unjust, and continually disruptive to human relations.<\/p>\n<p>Who would choose such a system?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sheltered academics who don&#8217;t have to live with the real-world consequences of their pretty social theories, and<\/li>\n<li> Politicians who need a disruptive problem set that can never be fixed to provide constant demand for their intervening political tinkering, and<\/li>\n<li>Bureaucrats, planners and statists because that&#8217;s all they know, and<\/li>\n<li>Lawyers who live off the carnage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now, imagine if all the manpower and brainpower currently engaged in the non-productive control of the rest of society, were instead engaged in self-sustaining productive endeavors.\u00a0 Imagine a least-cost framework where everyone made a real economic contribution &#8212; where the half of society currently sucking the life out of the other half produced real goods and services without coerced funding from the other half.<\/p>\n<p>Socialists aren&#8217;t helping us.\u00a0 They never did.\u00a0 They never will.<\/p>\n<p>Americans are buried in a tomb of city, county, state, federal, zoning, and regulatory law built by non-representative bureaucrats <em>without the consent of the governed<\/em>.\u00a0 Our only hope is to remove all of it, wipe it off the books, and re-engage freedom.\u00a0 Those vested in these systems will scream bloody murder.\u00a0 We owe it to ourselves to turn a deaf ear to their fear mongering.<\/p>\n<p>B_Imperial<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To those who complain about the free market\u2019s inability to overcome the systemic failures of socialism, the free market works very well without socialism.\u00a0 Discovering and producing a profitable market transaction is enough of a challenge without also handicapping businesses by forcing them to carry the dead weight of socialism on their backs.
