{"id":2602,"date":"2011-08-07T16:08:03","date_gmt":"2011-08-07T23:08:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elbertcounty.net\/blog\/2011\/08\/07\/sharia-law\/"},"modified":"2011-08-07T16:24:15","modified_gmt":"2011-08-07T23:24:15","slug":"sharia-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elbertcounty.net\/blog\/2011\/08\/sharia-law\/","title":{"rendered":"Sharia Law"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/elbertcounty.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/christies-crazies-national-review-online.pdf\" title=\"Christie\u2019s \u2018Crazies\u2019\">Christie\u2019s \u2018Crazies\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span data-jsid=\"text\">Congress should act under <strong>Article III <\/strong>of the  <strong>Constitution<\/strong>, &#8220;In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme  Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with  such Exceptions, and under such Regulations <em>as the Congress shall make<\/em>.&#8221;  &#8230;to define allowable subject matter jurisdiction for federal courts  to <u>exclude the authority of Sharia Law<\/u>.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-jsid=\"text\">Pushed by a well funded and  vocal monitory of Muslims, lower courts are picking away at this issue  to steadily expand the influence of Sharia Law in American jurisprudence.  Congress should act at  the federal level to shut down the entire movement.  Our laws are murky  enough without incorporating this cult of religious law.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-jsid=\"text\">There are  plenty of countries the U.S. can study in the world, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/elbertcounty.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/1988-state-law-allows-jais-to-act-against-non-muslims-the-malaysian-insider.pdf\" title=\"such as Malaysia\">such as Malaysia<\/a><span data-jsid=\"text\">,  to satisfy any judicial curiosities about Sharia Law.  We don&#8217;t need to corrupt our  own law to find those answers.
