{"id":2020,"date":"2010-05-13T07:45:27","date_gmt":"2010-05-13T14:45:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elbertcounty.net\/blog\/2010\/05\/13\/cover-up\/"},"modified":"2010-05-13T07:45:27","modified_gmt":"2010-05-13T14:45:27","slug":"cover-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elbertcounty.net\/blog\/2010\/05\/cover-up\/","title":{"rendered":"cover up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"hn-headline\"><strong>&#8220;9 indicted on charges of accessing Obama records<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"hn-byline\"> (AP) \u2013 <span class=\"hn-date\">14 hours ago<\/span><\/p>\n<p>DES MOINES, Iowa \u2014 Nine people have been indicted in federal court on  charges they accessed President Barack Obama&#8217;s student loan records  while employed for a Department of Education contractor in Iowa.<\/p>\n<p>The  U.S. attorney&#8217;s office says a grand jury returned the indictments  Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Davenport.<\/p>\n<p>The nine  individuals are charged with exceeding authorized computer access.<\/p>\n<p>They  are accused of gaining access to a computer at a Coralville, Iowa,  office where they worked between July 2007 and March 2009, and accessing  Obama&#8217;s student loan records while he was either a candidate for  president, president-elect or president.<\/p>\n<p>Arraignments are  scheduled for May 24.<\/p>\n<p>The charge is punishable by up to one year  in prison and a fine of up to $100,000.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;9 indicted on charges of accessing Obama records (AP) \u2013 14 hours ago DES MOINES, Iowa \u2014 Nine people have been indicted in federal court on charges they accessed President Barack Obama&#8217;s student loan records while employed for a Department of Education contractor in Iowa.
