Elbertonians, look around you. How many people do you know employed by taxpayer funded entities? How many people do you know who administer taxpayer funded entities?
- Public schools?
- Elbert County government?
- Town governments?
- Post offices?
- EMS and Fire departments?
- Police departments?
- Sheriffs department?
- Social Services department?
- State agencies?
- Federal agencies?
How many people do you know who provide goods and services for taxpayer funded reimbursements? How many beneficiaries do you know of taxpayer funded programs?
- Medicare?
- Medicaid?
- Social Security?
- TANF?
- Food stamps?
- PERA?
The exceptions in Elbert County are those who do not have some type of vested interest in taxpayer funding. The Left call this taxpayer funding of vested interests “free enterprise.”
One would think that all those who rely on taxpayer funding to serve their vested interests would be more grateful, but the opposite seems to be the case. Vested interests of taxpayer funding treat it as a birthright. They don’t ask. They tell. And it’s not just the Left. Republicans can get just as pushy when it comes to taking money from the public.
