HELP WANTEDToken Republicans are desperately needed to attend public meetings. The Tea Party wants to proffer the illusion that local GOP citizens are actually aware and involved with the County’s future. We need bodies. Many positions are currently available, but sitting upright in a chair without snoring is required.Successful applicants may be subject to political antics, boring technical terms, mindless arguments, and egotistical rants. They may also be exposed to strategies to undermine non-token concerned citizens and to deliver County control to developers and outside parties.
You will be encouraged to ignore the preceding issues and not ask any pertinent questions or attempt any real understanding.
Applications are now being accepted by Robert Rowland and Scott Wills at the Intergalactic Tea Party Headquarters.
No experience necessary. Actual zombies need not apply.

If you don’t buy the new-plains or new prairietimes propaganda, this is what they have for you. You’re a mental defect one step below a zombie. That’s it for their reasoned argument.
In church, the clergy don’t argue about the bible. They read from it, they present it, they apply it, and you don’t argue with them. It’s a one way street that, if you’re there, you accept on faith. You’re not there for a debate.
This is how it is with the church of the new left too. You can attend services at a number of local locations – new-plains, prairietimes, meadowlarks mudballs, to name a few – and mixed in among frequent declarations about how open minded and inclusive their religion is, all you’ll get are readings from the liturgy of the new left. Debate is the last thing they’re looking for. They want foot soldiers who will fall on their swords, disrupt, confound, conflate, parse, dissemble, confuse, ridicule, castigate, and damn to hell fire anyone who does not accept their message.
The new left is not subtle. Jack boots on storm troops and union thugs don’t telegraph subtlety. They’re about the imposition of their power, ceded to themselves through the holy mythologies of global cooling warming cooling, a river that once burned but is now drinkable, and cleaner air than America has known for a century. Oh wait a minute, those are the heresies. Crap, I always screw up their belief system – it’s just so alien, but not the kind of alien they keep looking for. . .oh never mind.
Anyway, for all their Sturm und Drang, we’re kind of stuck in their melodrama – which really frustrates them because, like the fundamentalist Muslims, they really do want all us non-believers off of their planet, one way or another. If they ever really get power, we non-believers aren’t going to get the transitional benefit of a labor camp. It’s going to be a shallow ditch along the side of some road for us.
