<\/span><\/span>Just a couple of reminders for this coming season:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>MEET with your TEAM<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Be sure to have a couple of team meetings before school starts, just to get acquainted.\u00a0 <\/span>Have some team building exercises \u2013 play some games, have a backyard BBQ.\u00a0 <\/span>Bring out a robot kit and try a few practice exercises on the CDs.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>REGISTER with FLL<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

If you haven\u2019t registered your team with FLL yet, GET ON IT!\u00a0 <\/span>Field set up kits are first come first served, and you don\u2019t want to have to wait to receive yours.\u00a0 <\/span>Click here<\/a> to register at http:\/\/register4fll.com<\/a> .<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>PLAN your SEASON<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Make up your project plan!\u00a0 <\/span>Look at the Season Schedule and plan your achievements accordingly.\u00a0 <\/span>Choose the qualifier tournament you want to attend and plan your mission goals toward that date.<\/span><\/p>\n

Include the research project in your project plan.\u00a0 <\/span>Remember, a research project is required scoring to get to the Colorado Championship!\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>You can easily get started on the Research Project now before the challenge mission details are announced.\u00a0 <\/span>Look for web sites on alternative and renewable energy sources.\u00a0 <\/span>Start gathering references and seek out the projects that scientists are working on right now!\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

COMPETE<\/span><\/strong> \u2013 Practice, practice, practice!<\/span><\/p>\n

Brand new teams (totally new \u2013 no veteran players) are eligible for the ROOKIE BOOSTER!\u00a0 <\/span>Save the date \u2013 October 13 \u2013 at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.\u00a0 <\/span>Target 1 -3 missions that you can achieve before that event.\u00a0 <\/span>There will also be guest speakers, strategy meetings, practice tables set up, a competition table and schedule.\u00a0 <\/span>Rookies!\u00a0 <\/span>Don\u2019t miss this cool gathering just for YOU!<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Veteran teams!\u00a0 <\/span>Plan to hold intramural scrimmages with other teams.\u00a0 <\/span>Write to us and we\u2019ll try to hook you up with another team in your area for a scrimmage\u00a0 <\/span>meet.\u00a0 <\/span>This will give you a chance to practice your competition skills.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Remember, \u201cwinning\u201d is the result of learning.\u00a0 <\/span>Seek first to learn \u2013 power puzzle concepts, robot mechanics, programming, teamwork and spirit \u2013 and your scores will follow!<\/span><\/p>\n
